Helping Every Child Flourish
At North Star SEND Specialist, I believe every child deserves to feel understood, valued and capable of success. My passion is helping children and young people feel empowered, nurtured, supported and truly listened to.
By understanding each child’s unique strengths and individual needs, we can remove barriers to learning and create opportunities for them to thrive both academically and emotionally. Working in partnership with children, families and schools, I provide personalised, practical support that helps every child access learning in a way that works for them.

Supporting Children, Families & Schools
Every child is unique, and I believe the best outcomes are achieved when we work together to celebrate strengths, understand challenges and create meaningful support strategies.
our Approach
Every child has strengths to celebrate, talents to nurture and potential to unlock. My role is to work alongside the people who know them best, their families, teachers and wider support network, to ensure they feel understood, included and empowered to thrive.
Whether I am working directly with a child, supporting a family, or coaching school staff, my aim is always the same: To build confidence, strengthen understanding and create positive, lasting change.
our Mission
Just as the North Star has long been a symbol of guidance and hope, my aim is to provide clear direction, reassurance and expert support, helping children, families and schools navigate their SEND journey with confidence.

OVER 20 YEARS OF EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE
With more than 20 years of experience in education, I have dedicated my career to helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
My professional journey has included roles as:
- Classroom Teacher
- Early Years and Key Stage One Leader
- Deputy Headteacher
- SENCO
- Independent Specialist Teacher
These experiences have provided a unique understanding of education from classroom, leadership and SEND perspectives, enabling me to offer practical, realistic and evidence-informed support.
For the past nine years, I have worked as a specialist teacher for the local authority rather than as an independent specialist, supporting children, families and schools across a wide range of settings. This breadth of experience allows me to bridge the gap between home, school and specialist services to create meaningful, lasting outcomes.
My approach is simple: see the child before the need, celebrate strengths and provide the right support at the right time.
